Monique Balfour,
MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C
Professional Statement
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) in Massachusetts. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management via telehealth and have experience across inpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, addiction medicine, and outpatient telepsychiatry, with a strong medical background from years in primary/urgent care. I commonly work with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, mood instability, and substance use concerns, including co-occurring mental health and addiction.
My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I aim to create a space that feels grounded and nonjudgmental while also being practical and goal-oriented. I use measurement-based care (brief symptom check-ins) to track progress over time and adjust treatment thoughtfully. When helpful, I integrate motivational interviewing, harm-reduction principles, and supportive counseling strategies alongside medication options—always tailoring the plan to your needs, preferences, and day-to-day life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You can expect a provider who is warm, direct, and thorough. I’ll take time to understand the full picture—not just symptoms, but sleep, stress, relationships, school/work demands, medical factors, and what has (or hasn’t) helped in the past. My goal is for you to feel heard and respected while we build a plan that is realistic and personalized. I’m especially mindful of safety, side effects, and the ways medical issues, substances, or withdrawal can affect mood, anxiety, focus, and sleep.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
We usually start with a comprehensive initial visit where I gather your history, clarify your concerns, review medical factors and current medications, and complete a thoughtful risk/safety assessment. We’ll discuss possible diagnoses and treatment options, and if medication is part of the plan, we’ll choose something intentional and measurable, with clear targets (for example: improved sleep, fewer panic episodes, better focus, steadier mood). Follow-ups are structured and collaborative: we track symptoms over time, review benefits/side effects, adjust as needed, and coordinate referrals or higher levels of care when appropriate (therapy, higher support, or substance-use resources), so you’re not navigating things alone.

Rachel Hart,
RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Professional Statement
I’m a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in emergency medicine and experience providing care in crisis services, outpatient settings, telepsychiatry, and correctional psychiatry.
Before becoming a PMHNP, I worked for years as an Emergency Department nurse in high-acuity settings (including Level 1 and Level 2 trauma centers) and served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves, where I helped train and lead medical teams. I bring a calm, steady, and practical approach to care, with an emphasis on safety, respect, and cultural humility. I also have intermediate conversational/medical Spanish and am a Reiki Level 2 practitioner, which informs my interest in mind-body tools that can complement evidence-based treatment.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You can expect a style that is direct, compassionate, and collaborative. I take time to understand what’s bringing you in and what’s been happening in your life—stress, sleep, medical history, past treatments, and what you want to be different. I’ll share my clinical thinking in a clear way, welcome your questions, and we’ll make decisions together so you feel informed and supported (not rushed or talked at).
Because of my background in emergency and crisis care, I’m especially attentive to safety, stabilization, and practical next steps—whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not sure what’s going on. My goal is for you to leave appointments with a plan that feels manageable and tailored to you.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
We begin with a thorough initial evaluation, where I learn your story, review symptoms and timeline, discuss relevant medical factors and current medications, and complete a risk/safety assessment. We’ll talk through likely diagnoses and the full range of treatment options including therapy supports, lifestyle and sleep strategies, and medication when appropriate—then agree on a plan with clear goals (for example: improved sleep, fewer panic episodes, steadier mood, better day-to-day functioning).
Follow-up visits are structured and goal-oriented. We track what’s improving, what’s not, and any side effects or concerns, then adjust thoughtfully. If you need additional support (therapy referral, higher level of care, or coordination with primary care), I’ll help you navigate those steps so you’re not doing it alone.

Nathalie Bailey,
MSN, LMHC, PMHNP-BC
Professional Statement
Hi, I’m Nathalie Bailey, LMHC, PMHNP-BC. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 15+ years of behavioral health and nursing experience, primarily in outpatient and community-based settings. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based medication management across the lifespan, including support for dual diagnosis (mental health conditions alongside substance use) and psychiatric concerns complicated by medical conditions.
My background includes direct clinical care as well as leadership roles in emergency services and care coordination, so I’m very familiar with crisis intervention, system navigation, and transitions of care. I currently provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management within community behavioral health programming, collaborating closely with therapists, case managers, and nursing teams to support whole-person, trauma-informed care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You can expect a provider who is warm, direct, and highly collaborative. I take time to understand what you’re experiencing, what matters most to you, and what you want to be different—not just symptom checklists. I’ll explain my clinical thinking in clear language, offer options (including benefits/risks), and we’ll make decisions together so you feel informed and supported.
I’m also very mindful of the real-world factors that affect mental health—stress, sleep, relationships, medical issues, access to resources, and safety. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start, my goal is for you to leave each visit with a plan that feels grounded, practical, and personalized.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
We start with a comprehensive initial evaluation where I gather your history (symptoms, timeline, prior treatments, medical factors, and current medications), clarify diagnoses, and complete a thoughtful risk and safety assessment. We then identify your goals and build an individualized plan that may include medication, psychoeducation, harm-reduction strategies when relevant, and coordination with therapy and other supports.
Follow-ups are structured and goal-oriented: we review what’s improving, what’s still challenging, and any side effects or concerns. If medication is part of your care, I monitor effectiveness and tolerability closely and adjust thoughtfully over time.
